USAG WDP Development Program
Developmental Levels (Level 1–3) form the foundational stage of gymnastics training and are designed for young beginners. The program focuses on developing essential body shapes, coordination, strength, flexibility, and overall body control. Students learn introductory skills on all four events, including vault run-ups, bar swings, basic beam walks and jumps, as well as floor skills such as forward rolls and bridges. This stage supports in-gym skill assessments, Pre-Team preparation, and participation in introductory-level competitions.
Elite Clinic
The Elite Clinic is a customized training program designed specifically for Recreational (Rec) and Development-level gymnasts. This program provides individualized, professional early-stage training tailored to each child’s unique physical abilities, learning pace, coordination, strength, and developmental needs.
Led by experienced coaches, the Elite Clinic focuses on:
-
Individual physical assessment (strength, flexibility, coordination)
-
Targeted skill development based on the child’s current level
-
Foundational technique correction and refinement
-
Strength, flexibility, and body control enhancement
-
Addressing specific weaknesses through personalized drills
-
Building proper training habits and long-term movement patterns
Training is delivered in a small-group or one-on-one format, ensuring each gymnast receives hands-on guidance, detailed corrections, and focused attention. This clinic does not require competitive experience; instead, it emphasizes personalized progression, helping children advance effectively and safely based on their own abilities.
