At LIU’s Gymnastics, we are committed to a blended development pathway—one that fuses Coach Liu’s world-class technical training with the USAG’s progressive level structure. Our approach is rooted in precision, efficiency, and individualized pacing, ensuring that each child builds a strong foundation while progressing through a flexible, multi-level system designed for long-term growth.

This is not a system of replication or resistance.It is a path of strategic integration—uniting the discipline of high-performance training with the freedom of academic choice and the joy of childhood movement. Under Coach Liu’s vision, every student—whether future athlete or not—experiences the rigor of elite gymnastics with the heart of a joyful learner.

Youth Gymnastics

Class Length: 1 hour

Age 5+

For beginners and students building general athletic ability

This Class offers a fun, structured environment for students who are new to gymnastics or want to improve physical coordination and overall fitness. This program blends basic gymnastics skills with specialized physical conditioning to support athletic development across sports.

 

Program Highlights:

  • Introductory gymnastics with full-body fitness

  • Flexibility, balance, core strength, and motor skills training

  • Ideal for students pursuing tennis, dance, martial arts, or general wellness

  • No competition requirement

Girls Pre-Team 

Class Length: 1 hour

Age 5+

This class is for girls with prior gymnastics experience who are ready for more formal technique training. Students will build upon basic skills and begin learning on all four events: floor, beam, bars, and vault. The class promotes confidence, discipline, and skill refinement through fun and challenging progressions.

Highlights:

  • Bridges early learning to structured gymnastics training

  • Focus on handstands, bridges, balancing, and bar support

  • Builds focus, strength, and coordination

  • Encourages goal-setting and resilience

Girls Team 

Class Length: 2-3 hours

Age 5+

The A Team is our official USAG competitive program, designed for athletes who demonstrate strong technical ability, discipline, and commitment. Students train at a high level and represent the team in local, regional, and national USAG-sanctioned competitions.

 

Program Highlights:

  • USAG level-based training & skill progression

  • Intensive routines, event-specific coaching

  • Personalized performance plans

  • Official meet participation throughout the season

  • Requires Annual Enrollment Contribution & Competition Assessment Fee

Strength.Flexibility Training

Class Length: 1 hour

Age 5+

This class focuses on full-body strength, mobility, and flexibility for youth athletes. It's an excellent foundation for gymnastics, dance, martial arts, and other sports. Training includes bodyweight conditioning, active stretching, and core control exercises using techniques from gymnastics.

Highlights:

  • Develops core strength, explosive power, and mobility

  • Improves posture, balance, and injury prevention

  • Ideal for young athletes preparing for sport-specific demands

  • No special equipment needed – gym-based bodyweight training
